Visit Leader
The information in this section is relevant to those responsible for the detailed organisation of an off-site activity according to the policies and procedures of the employer, and for young people before, during and after an off-site activity, e.g. Visit Leaders, Visit Assistants.
Technical Advisor
The information in this section is relevant to Technical Advisors, who ensure that off-site visits and adventurous activities are provided in accordance with the council's policies and procedures and other legal requirements.
Employer
The information in this section is relevant to those within the Local Authority who have overall responsibility, the responsibility for the delivery of the Council's policy relating to Off-site Activities, and managerial responsibility for how council policy is implemented by Heads of Establishment, e.g. the Chief Executive Officer, the Director, and the Head of Service. In independent schools, the information in this section is relevant to the owner, governors or trustees.
Head of Establishment
The information in this section is relevant to those who are responsible to a Head of Service and who have immediate management responsibility for groups or individuals who are participating in off-site activities, e.g. Head teachers, Principal, Rector of a school, or the Manager/Director or individual with responsibility for the day to day running of an organisation.
